FS1200R

This one of a kind custom flat tracker was built in collaboration with the Free Spirits Parts company, it features many of their custom parts alongside bespoke parts custom fabricated in house. The Free Spirits parts featured on the FS1200R are: CNC machined XR1200 yokes, CNC machined Risers, a modified XR1200 Fibreglass Belly Pan, CNC machined Brake and Gear Shift Pedals, Rear Shock riser blocks, front and rear Brake Rotors.

When building the FS1200R we started by putting a stock 19 inch front wheel in the rear, this wheel is taller and narrower than the stock rear wheel, this gave the motorcycle the signature flat track stance and enabled us to run genuine Dunlop DT3 Flat Track Tyres. The rear was raised using Ohlins Blackline shocks mounted to Free Spirits shock riser blocks. The Stock front forks were used, with the fender mounts and right side caliper mounts machined off and then repainted. In the rear, that Swinging arm was braced and the Free Spirits logo was cut from sheet metal to be displayed on the side. The handlebars we used are in the Style of the XR750, arguably the most iconic Harley Flat Track motorcycle of all time, these featured renthal grips, with Rizoma Bar-end indicators, the buttons for which were internally wired into the handlebars with flush fit push buttons. A Performance Machine Brake Master Cylinder and Lever were used, along with a matching Performance Machine Clutch perch and lever. Combined with the Motogadget Speedometer, this gives the handlebars and incredibly clean and minimalist look.

The front number board was fabricated in-house from sheet metal, the number 2 was cut out and wire mesh welded in, this allowed a hidden headlight to sit behind it. The fuel tank is a modified Street 750 Piece, which sits lower on the frame and offers a much cleaner look, fitted with a Diamond Range filler cap. The Air filter is stock Harley Milwaukee 8 heavy breather, reversed 180 degrees to give a modern feel to how the Classic XR’s were set up with rear facing carburetors sporting large K&N Filters.

The Seat unit is a modified aluminium XR750 unit, cut down to emulate the style of the factory Harley Street Flat Trackers, mounted over the orginal frame rails which were cut down. This is covered with a bespoke seat, custom upholstered by SM Trimming services. The custom exhaust system consists of; hand made stainless steel exhaust headers which were ceramic coated, and fitted with one-off Racefit Growler mufflers. This was then covered with a one-off exhaust heatshield, featuring a number board, all made from steel sheet metal.

The iconic custom paint was meticulously produced by Image Design Custom, giving an incredible finish to a truly fantastic motorcycle.
